Bob’s Special

My 15-foot Bob’s Special is built of western red and northern white cedars with inlays of Peruvian walnut, and trimmed in blister, birds eye, and tiger maples.  The unique design of the bottom is a rare artistic approach not usually seen in canoes.  The beam, depth, and handling characteristics are similar to the JennyB, with the exception that the shorter length would reduce carrying capacity somewhat.

This boat has never been launched, in anticipation of sale.  It was displayed (not entered for judging) at the 2002 Northeastern Woodworkers Association  Showcase at Saratoga and at other wooden boat events, always with very positive comments.
